Over the past few years, we’ve designed and fitted a wide variety of beautiful blue kitchens.
In our opinion, it is not surprising that more and more people are choosing this beautiful colour scheme for their kitchens.
Although more striking than grey, blue kitchen cabinets are just as timeless and adaptable. Furthermore, depending on how you utilise them, blue kitchen cabinets can generate a variety of different designs.
Kitchens painted in dark tones of blue, such navy or indigo, have an impression of sophistication, while kitchens painted in lighter shades of blue can have a tranquil, relaxing appearance.
No matter how you decide to include them, blue kitchen cabinets are a classic choice that will never go out of style.

For several years now, navy tones have been widely favoured, particularly as an accent colour in the kitchen. This version of the colour is perfect for a white or light wood-toned kitchen, as it brings out the natural beauty of both.
For the above kitchen, we wanted to give the feeling of more space and light we had a bank of floor to ceiling cupboards that housed all the appliances and gave lots of storage space. Therefore, wall units were not needed throughout the rest of the kitchen; which in turn helped with the flow of the room. This also allowed our clients to add their own style with a blue accent wall; and their own unique artwork and bespoke copper shelves.
Our clients added striking copper bar stools that really stood our against the gloss blue breakfast bar panel.

According to studies in colour psychology, the colour blue can have a soothing effect. Inviting calm and stillness with just a glance. Incorporating shades of blue into the home’s most frequented space has become increasingly popular, and this unique quality is a major factor in this trend.
You just want to come home to a peaceful and pleasant environment after a long day at the office, running errands, and fighting traffic. The use of various shades of blue might help you achieve this mood. Since the cabinetry occupies such a prominent location in the kitchen and strongly influences the style and feel of the overall kitchen space, some homeowners even go so far as to add blue kitchen cabinets.
In addition to its calming effect, the colour blue complements a wide range of kitchen accessories. It’s really versatile and works well with a wide range of tones and shades, from white to black, grey to brown. With a white countertop and dark blue cabinetry, you get a beautiful contrast. Cabinets in a light blue colour pair well with neutrals like white and brown. The lighter the tint, the better it goes with grey or deeper colours like deep brown and black.
