We started in 2002 with a passion for outstanding craftsmanship and a dream to turn kitchens into the real heart of the home. Before Matthew James Kitchens, our owner, Matt, worked for a well-known kitchen company specialising in Corian worktops. He travelled the country templating and installing high-end Corian surfaces in some of the best kitchens in the UK.

Inspired by the artistry and precision of his work, Matt started a new chapter. He set up Matthew James Kitchens from his home in the West Midlands. He began designing and installing bespoke kitchens that reflected his attention to detail and quality. Matt’s reputation grew, and he started working with local companies in Bromsgrove and the surrounding areas.

As our reputation grew, so did our team of skilled tradesmen. Each one was hand-picked for their expertise and passion for creating great kitchens. This growth and a desire to better serve our discerning customers led to a significant milestone in 2017—the opening of our showroom in the heart of Bromsgrove.

Today, Matthew James Kitchens is a testament to vision, skill, and total commitment to quality. We still design and build bespoke kitchens that exceed our customers’ expectations in Bromsgrove, Worcester, and beyond. Our showroom is a hub of inspiration where dreams of the perfect kitchen come to life and where our team’s expertise shines through in every detail.

THE DESIGN PROCESS

INITIAL CONTACT

Whether you've discovered us through a neighbour's recommendation or browsed our portfolio online, we're thrilled you've chosen Matthew James Kitchens. Our next step is to understand your unique vision and lifestyle.

We offer consultations at our showroom or in your home, where we'll discuss your aspirations and lifestyle needs.

Following a detailed home visit for measurements, we'll create a tailored design concept and transparent cost breakdown. Our goal is to craft more than just a kitchen; we're designing the heart of your home, where quality and personal touch meet to reflect your distinct style.

DESIGN CONSULTATION

We're pleased to welcome you to our showroom for the presentation of your custom kitchen design. Using advanced 3D computer-aided design technology, we'll showcase your new space on our large display, providing a vivid, immersive preview.

During this session, we'll review the design details and associated costs and address any adjustments you'd like to make. Our goal is to ensure that every aspect aligns perfectly with your vision and budget.

For some clients, this consultation finalizes their kitchen plans. Others prefer to take time to consider the proposal—we respect that this is a significant decision for their home.

FURTHER CONSULTATION

Should you require further adjustments, we’re happy to arrange a follow-up meeting either in the comfort of your home or at our welcoming showroom. This session allows us to meticulously fine-tune your design and finalise costs, ensuring every detail of your bespoke kitchen meets your expectations.

ORDER CONFIRMATION

Once the final plan is agreed and a date arranged for installation to commence, we will produce a schedule of works so that you know what will happen at each stage. At this point a 25% deposit is required.

INSTALLATION

All of the decisions have been made and now it’s time for our experienced team of professionals to come in and do their part of the job, overseen by Matt, to achieve a successful completion on schedule.
