Matthew James Kitchens proudly presents a recent project in the heart of Kings Heath, Birmingham. This project, a complete kitchen makeover, was for a client who discovered our exceptional services via the world wide web.
At the centre of this project is an artfully crafted oak Shaker-style kitchen. The dark oak stain, combined with Obsidian Green Paint, sets a tone of timeless elegance that speaks volumes about the homeowner’s distinguished taste.
In a notable shift of design, we relocated the kitchen layout from one side of the room to the other. This allowed us to maximize the potential of the space, enhancing its functionality and aesthetics. To bring in an abundance of natural light, we installed a new Upvc floor-to-ceiling window, while the new doors contributed to a fresh, focused look.
An expansive island now holds centre stage in the new layout, comfortably providing seating at two sides. Overlaying the floor is a sophisticated touch of Karndean, a popular, high-quality material known for its durability and style.

Additional features integrated into this elegant kitchen design include a concealed Pull-out Bin, a highly efficient Space Tower Larder, a durable Franke Belfast Sink, and a state-of-the-art Quooker Fusion stainless steel tap.
Adding another layer of quality and luxury was the supply and installation of a beautiful Mirrorstone Taj Mahal Worktop. Prior to installation, we professionally removed the pre-existing kitchen, organising the disposal of materials with a provided skip.
The project saw the whole space treated to a decorative update, with the installation of a new Upvc window and door complementing the entire look. The final touches included a handy Cutlery Tray and the addition of Extra Handles that subtly enhance function and form.
Our Kings Heath client has now a kitchen that flawlessly combines classic design with modern functionality, a testament to our commitment to quality, service, and the personalised touch that defines Matthew James Kitchens.
