A striking shaker kitchen painted to order in Baltic green with light grey cabinetry. Our clients in Salwarpe, near Droitwich lived in a beautiful Grade II listed period property. Having recently bought the property, the only thing letting the house down was the rather shabby, outdated kitchen that didn’t fit with the rest of the property.
The kitchen felt spacious due to the high ceilings but wasn’t overly wide. However, we were able to utilise the existing alcoves for an aga and in-built storage for a tall fridge and freezer, a combi-oven and a space tower.
This allowed us to include an island with lots of storage drawers, an open bookshelf and a pull out bin. This led down to the sink area which needed to house a washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher.
The extra deep worktop in the sink area flowed into the window sill. Angled base units near the doorway meant that we could use as much space as possible but still leave plenty of space to enter the room from outside.
Extra high wall units were used, including glass display cabinets, a bespoke tray space and wine rack.
Corian worktops in Arrowroot with a Quooker tap helped to complete the transformation; with space for a good sized table and chairs at the opposite end of the room.
